UK sourcing and export to United Arab Emirates

The UAE is our primary market. We quote UK goods into Dubai and Abu Dhabi every week, and our freight partner clears through Jebel Ali and DXB as standard traffic, not as a one-off.

How importing into UAE works

Sea freight runs Felixstowe or Southampton to Jebel Ali, typically 18–24 days port to port plus clearance. LCL sails weekly, so a half-pallet moves as readily as a full container.

Airfreight from Heathrow or East Midlands to DXB or AUH lands in 3–5 days door to door — the right route for coffee, samples, tender submissions and anything replacing stock that has run out.

UAE import duty on most goods is 5% of CIF value, with 5% VAT applied at clearance. We show both on the quote so your landed cost is the number you actually pay.

Free zone and mainland deliveries are both routine. If you are importing into a free zone, tell us the zone at quote stage — the paperwork differs.

Worth knowing

  • Padel is the fastest-moving category we ship into the UAE.
  • British curriculum schools across Dubai and Abu Dhabi order to an August deadline; we plan those backwards from term start.
